Baby Pram Party Favour
By Sue Smyth
This year we added to our extended family as my Nephew's wife
had a little girl just a few days ago.
So we have been in Baby shower mode for sometime now.
This is the little party favour I came up with
to decorate the table and give to
guests to take home.
I have used some simple supplies like bamboo
skewers painted white with gesso and
covered with white glitter. This forms the
perfect handle and axle for the pram.
Use a hot glue gun to adhere the bamboo
skewers.
Create a small scroll from a 1 cm strip of white cardstock
and ordinary alpha stamps or handwriting.
Add some glittered paper flowers and a tiny satin bow.
I have trimmed the edge off the Amaryllis Laced Frame die
and attached to the hood, along with lots of the tiny pearls.
Add larger pearls to the edges of the hood to
hide the edges of the base.
To start with die cut 4 prams, two in pink and
two in white, adhere the white prams to
the pink ones, and ink pink side edges.
Cut a strip of pink cardstock, approx 12 cm x 6 cms, score
the sides at 1 cm and snip small tabs all along.
Roll one end over a toothpick and adhere. Trim off excess
toothpick
Add a second toothpick to the end and roll up so that the
strip is the correct size(snip off excess)
adhere the pram sides to the tabbed edge,
carefully, curling the base as you go.
Cover bamboo skewers with white gesso and
smear over dimensional magic, sprinkle with white
glitter, trim and adhere as a handle and
axles.
Add a small piece of chipboard to the base to
rest the flowers and teased muslin on.
You could fill this pram with sweets, tickets or
typed out greetings. Or little plastic babies you
can find in the party aisle.
Or ask the guests to bring a copy of a
baby photo of themselves, trim out the head
and tuck into the pram with a little paper quilt!
What a cute way to decorate the table,so quick and easy.
