Little Girls Sampler
by Sue Smyth
Today I am sharing a gorgeous sampler. I love this way of
scrapbooking, it is kind of my answer to project life. Each little card tells
as story and gathers with the others to complete the layout. You can do
all sorts of themes, beach, vintage, boys, nature or butterflies.
You might notice that not all of the cards are the same size,
I did that quite on purpose as I did not want to trim really nice
elements off, just to match a smaller card. This made it
so much easier to do, as there were no worries about
them be exactly the same.
And you may also notice that I have left a large clearance
at the sides, as I plan on framing this with a nice
white antique frame.
Meg's Garden ATC papers make completing this sampler a
piece of cake. There are all sorts of patterns and styles.
I have taken a bunch a small piece of tattered net trim and adhered a resin
shape over top. Then insert a beautiful Meg's Garden
Hat pin.
I have roughly cut out butterflies, adhered them to
white cardstock and then fussy cut them.
Adhere them just in the centre so the wings
can be raised up.
Each card is mounted on thick chipboard and heavily
inked around the edges for great dimension.
I have adhered a neat clock charm into a metal
brad, to frame it nicely.
Use a good strong gel to adhere the metal bee, and metal clasp.
Add some chipboard words and personalized charms and it is all done!
