butterfly dreams
Here is a layout I have done for Paper Trenz to teach in september, I have used the Graphic 45 papers, with lots of butterflies, I wanted to put so many on the page, and had to figure out a way to present them. Recently we brought something (cant remember what) that had a cardboard doughnut shape in the packaging, so I have used this as a template. I really love the circle as it gives a good base on which to place elements like the butterfiles. Hope to see you there to learn more about how I made the layout lol

A moment in time
My latest page for Down Under Direct, features curtains, I was so inspired by a blog
http://machu-gotta-scrap.blogspot.com.au
That I had to incorporate some curtaining into my layout, I haven't done as much as the examples on the blog, but just a little is great.
Bazzil is so strong that you can wet it and manipulate it into shapes, pleats and folds, every time you will get a different result, but that is what I like.
Of course your page will be very dimensional, but again I like this, and I will not be putting this in my album, it will stand on an easel.
I had a productive week last week and completed 6 layouts, as I can spend up to a day on one layout, this was a great result for me. I am now ahead lol
You will see all of these layouts in due time, I have to now photograph them.

mermaid
Many of you have been waiting for this layout for awhile, I have been talking about doing a mermaid layout,at last it is done!!
I have used the wonderful Inka Gold rub on paints, which work really well with water too, but you could use lumieres,or brilliance ink pads, even glimmer mists would do.
Of course they all work really well on Bazzil cardstock and show up the texture beautifully, I have used lots of gesso and flicked around bits of watered down gesso to create a kind a foamy surf look. I have tucked little things in the waves at the bottom, and used some old Spellbinders to create the spiky anemone flowers. The Just Rite stamp set has this lovely saying which I thought suited so well. For a full list of materials see the Down Under Inspirations site on the side
This was my daughters first time in surf and she took to it like a true mermaid! lol

little birdie branch
Here is a quick little project, I found this branch in the park and it just called to me to do something to it lol. A little bit of spray adhesive and glitter, bitty blossoms and a tiny bird and you have a lovely decoration. This would be great on the top of a cake or for Christmas, I want to put mine inside a wire cage!
