decorative windo

I am trying to get in the habit of posting on my blog every sunday...this week

i have been busy doing a few pages and starting on my first assignment for Down Under

direct design team. I know it is not due for a while but i like to get ahead so i have a layout, card and Off the Page item done, but i cant show you them for a while...it is a secret. there shall be a big reveal at end of the month. so look out for it. I am having such fun with Rose Creations. you just have to get them if you can...hard to get now ...

I have been asked to put a picture of my decorated window that i did some time ago, everybody loved it and I have taught others how to do it. Now it hands in my Family room and I still love the look of it, which is good cos i do get tired of things i make..sometimes

down under direct design team member

Design team member

I saved the best to the last, i recently won a spot on a Design team for Down Under Direct, a wonderful paper company who supply us all with Bazzill cardstock which I have always loved using. they also supply Spellbinders and Just Rite stamps, which i love too, so it wont be much of a hardship designing for them.

I was really pleased to be included, the other 3 girls who are on the team have really good work and I love their blogs so much better than mine, I hope to be able to make some really creative things and learn heaps. We won a new Grand Calibur, machine, cant wait to play with that and some dies and stamps and cardstock. I am pumped for the next 12 months of creativity...i have uploaded my page and cards that won....

I am also going to Print Blocks Creative block...3 days of classes and workshops...what a dream . from suppliers like terasa collins sizzix and maya road...you can do 8 classes i think and all of them are fantastic..this will be in may and i hope to be so inspired...

inner beauty

At paper trenz we just received all the new Bo Bunny papers, they are soooo good, really inspiring and i could not wait to use them. so i did some surfing on the web for ideas and found this really beautiful blog called such a pretty mess...check it out the pages are so gorgeous, they really inspired me to do some work similar, i usually do interactive type of pages, but i think i am changing my style to just pretty cos i can!!! style.

have uploaded a few pages the portraits of the past one has flowers made with Tim Holtz Tattered florals cut from an old book and spritzed with glimmer mists, and scrunched... i loved how it turned out and we will do a class in this i think...at paper trenz i have sourced a selection of chip script words (see inner beauty is timeless page) what is really cool is they are white, so inking directly on to them is great because the colour is clear and radiant not mucky from the brown chip showing through. also playing with iridescent medium from windsor newton...it is great you can mix it with other paints or inks or gels or use it straight...loving it!

of course it is great to brush over the flowers ...ones in second page i have just done with Bazzill cardstock and Tim holtz die again and wet them to scrunch. .lovin the flowers too

birthday birds

recently had my birthday, dont think i should actually say my age but lets just say it was a milestone, and feel good that I dont feel my age. lots of my crafting friends gave me wonderful cards and gifts, too many to take pics of, but i loved one in particular from my friend susan martin, ( fellow teacher at Paper Trenz). she made a bird cage from empty sticky tape rolls and wire. i think she should do a class on it but it depends if I can convince her.

I loved it so much i decided to make a bird nest from wire, and because we all love birds at the moment i did a mini canvas too, not sure if this will be a class but i like the mini canvas idea...shall see how it goes.

christmas present page

I forgot to add a picture of a page I did for Christmas

I havent done many pages this year as yet, but will get into

it as I have a few in my head.

this page holds 24 photos as each present opens to hold yet

more photos, this would be a great layout for a birthday too.

paper trenz classes

all these we be classes at paper trenz

I hope everyone had a great christmas, I know I did, and after christmas a long rest. It has been quiet with classes and at the shop, probably due to the dreadful floods and the awful start to the year for so many people.

but i can feel the optimism returning both in clasess and at the shop. I will be finishing at Craft a lot on 25 march, as it is closing its shop front. online store stays open. but i will not be doing classes there any more obviously..

i will let you know if I start else where, mean time a group of us will do some work shops at home in my space!! I shall add a few pics of work i have been doing.

particulary the cuckoo clock which is not my idea as it came from a magazine article that a friend gave me, as it was so wet after christmas it was just the thing to occupy me while in side and on holidays .
