Enjoy the Ride Layout
By Sue Smyth
This Mixed Media layout is of my middle boy, who definitely has a ride ahead of him. He has so many things going on in his life, and enjoys so much. Which is what I wanted show in the layout, so you can see guitars bikes and balls. The sky will be the limit for him, he is a talented guitarist and a 1st Dan Black belt and good at his grades (when he wants to be)
I can only sit back and watch what he will do lol.
The first thing to do is make a background that represents the earth and the sky. I did this with a combination of texture paste and Viva Decor Croco Crackling Colour 000. Both of these will stick your chipboard elements down at the same time.
I have used a lot of glitter on this layout, something you don't usually think of as boyish, but white glitter always just adds sparkle with out adding colour and so can be quite subdued in a way. I don't like rules anyway, and love to use rhinestones, pearls and glitter on any layout, all of which you will see here on the one layout lol
I have sprayed the background with a mixture of Dylusions and Glimmer mists. The frame I have painted with gesso, allow to dry. Then spritz with Dylusions Teal and Cut Glass, then coat with Dimensional Magic and lightly sprinkle with white glitter.
The clouds are painted with gesso, allow to dry and coat with dimensional magic, and sprinkle with micro beads. Allow to dry again and paint with gesso again, for a great textured effect.
The ball player silhouette, is sprayed with Melted Chocolate Dylusions, then coated with Dimensional magic, so simple but it looks so glossy and rich. For something different I have use the A moment totally raw !!
Halloween Lumiere
I found this cute bucket at Kmart, I thought it would make a cute candle project, especially for Halloween.
First scuffed up the bucket with sand paper, then sprayed with orange paint.
Then I sprayed the chipboard elements with black spray paint.
Then glued the elements onto the bucket, to make them work around the curves, I have sprayed the chip with a little water before adhering in place.
Finish with punched out bats, rhinestones and black fibres !!

and for the Halloween bucket
