Magnolia Lane
Pocket Album
By Sue Smyth

Hi all
I love love love little mini albums, they have
never really gone out of fashion, especially as a personal
beautiful gift. Today I am using Magnolia Lane to
decorate an album, including many of the Magnolia
Lane dies.

To create the sugared Magnolia,

First spray the centre with a soft pink glimmer mist or ink.
Dry with a heat gun for a second or two.
Spray all over with spray adhesive and dip
into a large pot of white glitter.

To create the altered leaves

Die cut 2 of the leaves with the Rose cutting die
Dab all over the leaf with a small amount of white gesso.
Dry with heat gun
Then blend green distress ink over top.
add a pink or rust colour ink to the tips of the leaf.
finish by spritzing with a little water (not a lot)
and dry with a heat gun

To make the Glittered Rose Nest.

Die cut 4 of the Rose cutting roses.
Snip a slit in the side of 2
Scrunch all of them up and spritz with
a little water (not much)
Dry with heat gun.
Layer all 4 together, making a cone
shape with the snipped ones.
Then spray the entire rose with adhesive
and dip into white glitter.
Then add the sugared magnolia over top.

I have used the Poetical labels to fill
the inside of the album

As I will be giving this away, I have
indicated where photos should go
by adhering a black cardstock rectangle to the page.
Use a white gel pen to mark a border
and inscribe the word photo.
So even a non crafter can complete
the album by popping trimmed photos
over the black rectangle forming a
black cardstock matt.

The perfect way to use some of the labels
is to layer them together using an
oval die to cut out the verse only.
